Our second appointment was a "technical" meeting in which a small group of technicians talked about struggles they face with the Kadaster contract. I noticed that this little team has a strong bond, and has a lot of understanding for each other. I must say that especially the second appointment was hard to follow, because the technicians are really focussed on applications at such level that it’s impossible to follow if you have no knowledge of these applications. Another point of discussion was the outsourcing project in India. Outsourcing is basically the process of letting other companies do certain tasks for your company, which they can do better or at a lower cost. This also applies for the outsourcing with India, because Indian technicians are less expensive than Dutch technicians, and their knowledge of the English language is in general quite good compared to other low cost countries. The outcome of this meeting was quite similar to the earlier meeting, because it seemed as if everyone was content with the results of this meeting.
We ended this day by doing a few webinars at the Capgemini’s academy which were about the use of excel for financial controlling.
