I started this day by processing various product costs in excel. Every project has its own costs, but you have several standard costs like labour. When selling your product it’s important to keep your own costs as low as possible, because this will mean that your end profit will be higher. This principal does also count for projects like Kadaster, because at the start of most projects, mostly Dutch technicians will work on it, because this is easier in terms of communication and available knowledge. After a while it is important that more and more Indian technicians will replace the Dutch technicians, because this will lower the costs. Lastly only one or two Dutch technicians are working on a certain project. My job was to put the costs per employee per month in this excel sheet and calculate the final costs, and add them to other costs like machine costs. After completing these sheets, I had to make P&L statements in which I also included the earnings of a certain period. These tasks were very relateable to the subject ''M&O''.
At the end of the we watched a webinar of a French Capgemini employee about the use of Kanto’s theory in successful start-ups like Pokémon Go a few months ago.
